Oversized and Recreational Vehicle Parking Permits

Oversized and Recreational Vehicle Parking Permits are now available for NO COST from Eureka Police Department.   

Examples of Oversized or Recreational Vehicles would be any motor vehicle over 25 feet long, any motor vehicle over 96 inches wide, any motor vehicle which is designed, used or maintained as farm machinery, any non-motorized vehicle, such as a semitrailer, trailer, trailer coach, utility trailer, two or more axle camper, or a one-axle camper which has been detached from its drawing vehicle and any recreational vehicle over 20 feet long.

City of Eureka Sales Tax
The voters of the City of Eureka approved a one-quarter percent retail transactions and use tax in the November 2008 General Election. The passage of Measure D also required that the City of Eureka repeal the Utility Users' Tax. Both changes are effective April 1, 2009.

Businesses within the City limits must impose the statewide sales tax of 8.25% plus the City's use tax of .25%, for a total of 8.5%. For information about applying sales tax to delivered sales, please review the Board of Equalization publications listed later.
