Mayday Community Clean Up
News Image In an effort to promote community enhancement and encourage awareness of environmental issues, the City of Eureka will be sponsoring a community clean up event along Eureka's waterfront. On Saturday, May 17th, volunteers will meet at Halverson Park, Eureka Boardwalk, Palco Marsh and Elk River Wildlife Sanctuary at 1 pm. Volunteers will be provided trash bags and pickers, as well as refreshments. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own re-usable gloves in an effort to reduce waste. If not, gloves will be provided.

The City of Eureka is currently recruiting for a Personnel Director committed to meeting our City's varied Personnel needs.

The Personnel Director should be knowledgeable, resourceful, perceptive, and responsive, and must be able to effectively utilize available resources to advise the City Manager and City staff, and to effectively represent the City on all personnel matters.

California Voter Information Guide on cassette
The Eureka City Clerk’s office has received a copy of the cassette-recorded version of the Official California Voter Information Guide for the June 3, 2008, Statewide Direct Primary Election.  The audio cassette was provided by the California Secretary of State’s Election Division and is being made available, free of charge, to persons who are blind or visually impaired.

City of Eureka “C” Street Projects Notice of Public Hearing
The City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday May 20, 2008, to consider the coastal development permit for the "C" Street projects. All persons are invited to comment on the projects in writing or in person at the pubic hearing.
