3rd Annual

In an effort to promote community enhancement and encourage awareness of environmental issues, the City of Eureka will be sponsoring a community clean up event along Eureka's waterfront. On Saturday, May 16th at 1pm,  volunteers will meet at Halvorson Park, Eureka Boardwalk, Palco Marsh or Elk River Wildlife Sanctuary. Volunteers will be provided trash bags and pickers, as well as refreshments. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own re-usable gloves in an effort to reduce waste. If not, gloves will be provided. All participants will receive a City of Eureka Mayday Community Clean Up sports bottle and t-shirt by pre-registering before May 9th. You can register here by clicking on the link below or by calling 441-4184. Please fill out the location at which you (or your group) will be volunteering, and also make sure to check your t-shirt size(s). Let’s Team Up to Clean Up our waterfront.

A Volunteer Appreciation Event will be held after the clean up on the Boardwalk with live music and a BBQ at 3 pm. During the volunteer appreciation event, an opportunity drawing will be held for participating volunteers with gift certificates provided by City of Eureka merchants.
