Eureka Community Services takes great pride in the programs and services we offer, as we employ over 100 part-time staff at any given time throughout the year. We invite you to explore the many employment opportunities available. Seasonal to year-round positions range from Recreation Aides who work at the Adorni Center on the beautiful waterfront, to Harbor Aides at the Wharfinger Building and Recreation Leaders in our many After School Programs, Summer Camps and Community Classes to Scorekeepers and Referees in our sports leagues. Job experience is not always necessary, but applicants must display a good work ethic, sense of teamwork and a willingness to help strengthen our community through the dynamic and diverse field of parks and recreation.

Adorni Center Front Counter Staff (Temp/Part Time)

  • Assist patrons with recreation program registration, fitness memberships and more
  • Opening/Closing facility, answering phones, interacting with the public
  • Shifts are available Monday—Saturday (Mornings &/or Evenings)
  • Approx. 10-20hours/week  depending on availability
  • $14.00/hr—$17.017/hr—DOE
  • Must clear DOJ fingerprints, TB test & willing to get CPR/First Aid certified

Recreation Leader  - After School Program/Summer Day Camp (Temp/Part Time)

  • Facilitate age appropriate activities, games, crafts for youth
  • Assist with homework
  • May be in-person on site or by virtual platform
  • Shifts available Monday—Friday 2-6pm
  • Must be available at least 3 days/week 
  • $14.00/hr and/or DOE
  • Must clear DOJ fingerprints, TB test & willing to get CPR/First Aid certified

Preschool Teacher (Temp/Part Time) at Little Saplings Preschool

  • Plan & lead activities for youth ages 2.5 - 5 years
  • Provide & oversee a safe, healthy play environment which enables youth to participate in positive activities
  • Communicate with parents about daily experiences with children.
  • Must be available Monday - Friday between 9am - 5pm, shifts vary depending on need
  • $15.37/hour - $17.80/hour - DOE
  • Must get fingerprinted, TB test, prove TDap, MMR & will get Child & Infant First Aid/CPR certified
