City of Eureka Accepting Letters of Interest From Non-Profit Organizations

The City of Eureka is currently accepting letters of interest from non-profit organizations seeking funding through the City's 2013-14 budget. The deadline for letters of interst is June 30, 2013.

Letters of interest should be mailed to:

    Paul Rodrigues
    Finance Director
    City of Eureka
    531 K Street
    Eureka CA 95503

Letters may also be emailed to prodrigues@ci.eureka.ca.gov

It is also advised that a letter of interest or email should be followed up with an email or telephone call to confirm receipt of the letter of interest. The telephone number is (707) 441-4114.

Groups who have sent letters will be reviewed and ranked by the Finance Advisory Committee on Monday, July 8, 2013 at 5:30 pm in Room 207 Eureka City Hall, 531 K Street. Groups may give a presentation to the Committee at this time.

The Finance Advisory Committee shall review and rank applications/presentations against the following criteria:
    -    Consistency with City Council goals and priorities, such as 
          initiatives established in the current Strategic Visioning Plan
    -    Program or service to meet an identified community need
    -    Uniqueness of community need as contrasted by duplicative
         types/levels of service
    -    Degree to which funding will serve as seed money for new
          programs, activities and/or lead to self-sufficiency
