Ad-Hoc Syringe Advisory Committee

The City of Eureka Syringe Advisory Board was created in 2018 and held their first meeting in October.  The SAB has been meeting on a monthly basis and the membership includes two community members, two HACHR board members, Public Health, Law Enforcement, and the City Manager as a non-voting ex officio.  The purpose of the committee is to reduce the negative impacts of syringe litter within the city and to advise the City Council on policy issues related to syringe exchange and needle litter.  The goal for this committee is to provide collaborative problem solving.
