Ross Park Playground Improvements

Ross Park Playground Closed for Repairs Beginning February 4th 2022

The City of Eureka Community Services Department will be closing the playground at Ross Park (located at 11th and M St.) for repairs beginning on February 4th and will remain closed for several weeks until the project is complete. This improvement project is made possible due to the California State Parks Per Capita Program which is intended to rehabilitate existing infrastructure and to address deficiencies in neighborhoods lacking access to the outdoors.

Playground improvements include replacement of the surfacing around the main play structure, replacement of a slide and tunnel, repairs to the playground platform surfacing, new chipping in the swing area, and the addition of two new Curva Spinners.

We ask that you please respect the construction area and workers while fencing remains up for your safety and to ensure this project does not face any interruptions. The remainder of the park outside of the fence boundary will remain open for use.
